In this study access to preventive dental care was compared among children of low-income families with children of high-income families (>400% of the federal poverty level) in Georgia. The census tracts revealed that high-income children had better access to preventive dental care than low-income children had. This study helps to implement plan of action to increase dental care access for public insurance patients. 

Case studies of seven mobile and portable dentistry programs across the US were analyzed for their importance in serving underserved areas and to also identify the barriers and the organizers for providing effective mobile dental care treatments and services.
In this study it has been found that foster, kinship and residential care children are half as likely to attend dental services compared to the general child population.
